Blog: Be like Thor
On Tuesday, Nashara in Year 10 spoke to everyone at our Principal’s Assembly about the importance of keeping a positive mindset until the end of term, despite the challenges.
For those who I haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting, I’m Nashara from Year 10 and I welcome you to Week 9! Hard to believe isn’t it. Even though it feels like the term has rushed by, with August slipping away to a moment in time, lockdown has also made it feel like it's dragged 2021 into the next year. And scrolling through the Gallery of faces on this Zoom call, I can see that we are all in agreement on this one.
It’s why I’d like us all to take the opportunity to step back and try to focus our attention on the world outside our current environment. While every person’s situation is different – and I don’t want to make any assumptions here – I would like to encourage you, if you can, to see beyond your current situation because I believe that one of the best pandemic remedies is to keep a positive mindset.
There are many ways you can approach this. From small tasks that brighten your day to going out of your way to do something that makes you happy. This might be going for a walk, calling friends or doing an activity with your family.
It’s a hard time right now for everyone, so it’s important to focus on the positive things in your life. These things can be big or small, but you’d be surprised at how much better you feel just by putting on a smile and pushing through the hard times. However, if you are feeling overwhelmed, don’t forget that there’s an amazing support system at 最新麻豆视频, from our Year Coordinators to our Wellbeing Teachers, who are all here to offer their help and support if you need it.
So, even though we’re all a bit fed up of lockdown, just remember that Chris Hemsworth is in NSW at the moment, so if Thor can do it, we can too!
Thank you and enjoy your week!
