Year 7 Design Thinking Day

16 Jun 2016

yr 7 design thinking full

Year 7 students furthered their problem solving and STEM skills during their annual Design Thinking Day.

Tasked with a brief to ‘design a better zoo’, Year 7 students applied Design Thinking skills to observe, develop and build prototypes. They drew on research conducted at Taronga Zoo earlier this term, to help inform their new designs and ideas.

The two-day exercise resulted in a number of creative designs, which were judged in various categories by representatives from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and Taronga Zoo.

The girls had a fantastic time applying their research, engaging with their brief and creating solutions.
